Searching for member declarations

To open member declaration search, select "Search > Member declarations". This will open a member declaration search window.

Tips

1. Not all fields are required for every search type

This is especially useful with this search mode. For example:

• Searching with only the owner specified will show all defined types of the class to the owner class's fields and methods.
• Searching only a name/descriptor of a field/method will show all classes that define that method.

2. Skip packages that you know you don't need to search for faster searches

While the search implementation is fast you may still want to exclude packages that you know for sure do not have meaningful results to cut down on search time.
